The Democrat Plan to Hijack the Hearings

Brilliant ‘guerrilla’ strategy by the Democrats here. They know they don’t have the votes to stop the nomination, so they turn to asymmetrical warfare tactics. First, have activists disrupt the hearings. Second, use the hearings as a pretext to call for postponement. Third, use the refusal to postpone as proof the hearings are a charade. Worst case outcome for the Left is Grassley shows strength and courage and ignores them, but that’s no worse than the reality already. Best case scenario, Grassley buckles and any victory they have increases their standing. When defeat is certain, even a simple delay is often an improvement.

Republicans and Catholics have a lot to learn from the enemy. Study and learn from their tactics (just not their character).

Here’s What the Catholic Church REALLY Teaches About Capital Punishment

Father X shares the traditional doctrine:

“Let God arise and let His enemies be scattered. Let them that hate Him flee from before His face,” words taken from the Introit for this eleventh Sunday after Pentecost. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, Amen.

The great South American Jesuit missionary, Saint Peter Claver (he died in 1654)- he often spent some five consecutive hours in prayer before going out to fulfill his duties. His basic schedule, for something like forty-five years of his life, ran like this: As night fell, he slept for a short while, often three hours or so. Then from midnight to 1:00 he got up to enjoy, so he said, “the silence and peace which God granted him when all slept”.

Then either kneeling or prostrate on the ground, often with the symbols of the Passion on him- like the crown of thorns or a rope around his neck or crucifix in hand- he prayed until 6:00 in the morning. Then he went out to work.

Not surprising, like many of the saints, he had a special gift for bringing souls to God- especially those who seemed farthest away. Among them were those condemned to death by the state; those under the death penalty, the capital punishment. They became his friends, and the officials always called him in shortly before their execution. He would hear their confessions and offer Mass for them in prison. Predictions for 2018, Impeachment, Pardons and More

We still have two months to the elections, and I’ll stick by my prediction from six months ago that Republicans lose 20 seats, but if they do lose >24, impeachment is now guaranteed in the House. (Thank God for the Senate). The impeachment will work in Trump’s favor through 2020, and if he keeps us out of neo-con wars and the economy does not collapse, he’ll win re-election and the GOP will retake the House.

P.S. I’m also willing to predict Manafort’s sentence is commuted after the mid-terms

Probably the Worst Pope In….Forever

The Pope’s most recent scandal brought out all of the usual suspects as defenders, viz., the neo-Catholics, neo-ultramontanists and Ostrich-Catholics. I warned them that their eager toleration of error and active participation in the conspiracy would come back to bite them. Who could have anticipated this little gem from the Pope’s good friend in Canada:

“Pope Francis breaks Catholic traditions whenever he wants, because he is “free from disordered attachments.” Our Church has indeed entered a new phase: with the advent of this first Jesuit pope, it is openly ruled by an individual rather than by the authority of Scripture alone or even its own dictates of tradition plus Scripture.” Father Rosica, speaking of the Pope’s unlimited power

By disordered attachments, he means of course, the Catholic faith, as taught by all of his predecessors and all the ecumenical councils. The Vatican is rushing to remove the quote from all the online sources, which of course is not only laughable but only proves that someone in the curia is aware that these things are not supposed to be said in public.
