Prayer for a Father to Repel Storms and Protect His Home and Family

Posted on March 15, 2025 by Jeff Cassman
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
O Lord God of Hosts, Creator of Heaven and Earth, who set the boundaries of the sea and command the winds and the waves, I come before Thee as the head of this household, entrusted with the care of my family and the protection of our home. In humility and trust, I beg Thee, stretch forth Thy mighty hand against the storm that threatens us. Let not the tempests of the air or the powers of darkness bring harm to those whom Thou hast given me to protect.
O Christ, King of all Creation, who rebuked the storm upon the sea and brought peace to the fearful hearts of Thy disciples, command now, I pray Thee, that these winds be stilled, that this storm be turned aside, that destruction pass us by. Send Thy holy angels to stand guard over this house, to drive away all dangers, and to keep us in safety beneath the mantle of Thy Sacred Heart.
(The father now takes holy water and sprinkles it around the home, saying:)
In the Name of Jesus Christ, the King of Kings, I bless and protect this home with this holy water, a sign of God’s power over the elements. May all storms and dangers flee before the Cross of Christ. May this dwelling be marked as a place of faith, of refuge, and of peace. By the intercession of the Blessed Virgin

A Prayer for Departed Non-Catholic Friends and Family

Posted on July 3, 2024 by Jeff Cassman

O Sovereign Lord, who in Your infinite wisdom, justice, and mercy, governs all creation, we humbly come before You today to pray for the soul of [Name], who has departed from this life outside the visible bounds of the Holy Catholic Church.

You alone know the hearts of men and the mysteries of Your grace. We entrust [Name] to Your loving care, knowing that Your mercy is boundless and Your justice is perfect.
Grant, O Lord, that in Your compassionate judgment, You may look upon [Name]’s faith in You and the love they bore towards Your Holy Name. Forgive any sins they may have committed, whether in thought, word, or deed.

In Your mercy, purify their soul, and if it be in accordance with Your divine will, welcome them into the eternal joy of Your heavenly kingdom. May they behold Your face in glory and be united with all the saints and angels in praising You forever.

O Mary, Mother of Mercy, intercede for [Name] and bring their soul before Your Divine Son. May all the saints, including St. Michael the Archangel, and St. Joseph, the patron of a happy death, pray for [Name]’s swift entry into eternal rest.

We make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.… Read the rest

A Prayer for a Friend

Posted on February 15, 2024 by Jeff Cassman

Dear Heavenly Father,

In the serene embrace of Your infinite grace, I pen this humble letter, a prayer from the depths of my heart, reaching out to You on behalf of ________. Your omniscience sees beyond my words, knowing the essence of my intentions before they are even formed.

O Lord, the Fountain of all Goodness, I beseech You to bestow upon__________ a cascade of Your choicest blessings. May Your light perpetually shine upon her, guiding her steps on the path of righteousness and peace. Grant her the strength to face the trials and tribulations of this world, with unwavering faith and hope anchored in Your divine providence.

Bless her, O Divine Benefactor, with the wealth of good health, that her body may be a temple of the Holy Spirit, vibrant and full of life, to serve You and Your creation with zeal and joy. Shower upon her the gift of wisdom, that in all things, she may seek Your will, discerning the good and choosing the right, a beacon of Your truth amidst the shadows of uncertainty.

Surround her, O Father, with loving relationships that reflect Your own love for us—relationships that nourish, challenge, and grow in the soil of mutual respect and affection. In times of loneliness or despair, remind her of Your constant presence, that she is never truly alone, for You are with _________, her rock and her comforter.

Provide for ______, O Lord, according to her needs, not only in material sustenance but also in … Read the rest

Prayer to St. Joseph When You Need a Miracle

Posted on January 18, 2023 by Jeff Cassman

Pray this daily for thirty days:

Oh, St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so prompt, so strong,
before the throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires.
Oh, St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession,
and obtain for me from your Divine Son
all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
So that, having engaged here below your heavenly power,
I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of fathers.

Oh, St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms;
I dare not approach while he reposes near your heart.
Press him in my name and kiss his fine head for me and
ask him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath.

St. Joseph, patron of departing souls – pray for me.
Amen.
